funky stay
delicious options ideal location short walk
the breakfast had many delicious options. the hotel location is ideal. it was a short walk from the train station and just off the royal mile. everything i needed was within a ten minute walk.
i noticed a smell when walking in and using the stairs. it smelled like dirty nappies. this was likely from problematic drains. the toilet roll was also cheap in quality.

Awesome stay!
coffee selection friendship bracelet useful number tasty food
The room offered complimentary coffee, a pic'n'mix selection, and even a friendship bracelet making station. Staff provided a WhatsApp number for assistance anytime, which i found particularly useful. I had both lunch and breakfast and i thought the food was tasty. I stayed only one night but i wished i could have stayed longer.
The toilet roll was really cheap, it felt rough, and there wasn't anywhere to put my clothes in the room.

convenient location beer fridge breakfast option uncomfortable sofa bed broken spring thin mattress
the location was convenient. it was close to main attractions. the room had a beer fridge, which i found quite useful. breakfast was included and had plenty of options.
the sofa bed was uncomfortable. springs were broken, so it sagged in the middle. my kids could not sleep well and had to use the thin mattress on the floor. i did complain, but the staff couldn't resolve it..

the room was spacious. breakfast was also very good.
the price for the room seemed high for what i received. there were no extra touches in the room. i would have liked more than just a free curly wurly.

vinyl player beer fridge friendly staff strong smell cheap toilet roll little space
the room included a vinyl player , a beer fridge , and a guitar. it seemed like a home , but with a cool vibe. the staff greeted us with a smile , so i felt very welcome. the 24/7 hotdogs were surprisingly delicious.
the smell in the stairway was strong , resembling problematic drains. the toilet roll had cheap quality , it was rough. there was little space to put my clothes , which was inconvenient.

really good hotel experience
cooking space relaxing space separate lounge welcome drink
i enjoyed the captain's suite it provided ample cooking and relaxing space. the separate residents' lounge offered a quiet area for relaxation and board games it featured a 24-hour pick and mix station and water refills. i found a guitar and record player in the room useful. as a family we appreciated brewdog beer extras being available.
i noticed a slight lack of attentiveness from the staff upon arrival otherwise everything was great.

the hotel's proximity to the train station is convenient it also is near the city centre. the hotel offered a great location overall for accessing city amenities and transport links making travel simple.
